- Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989 must have a Wisconsin-approved boating safety certificate.

- Seasoned captains may create a custom offshore float plan by attesting to open-water experience.

We launch for you right from the Washburn Marina. Just show up, hop in, and enjoy your day on Lake Superior. Whether you’re out to fish, cruise, swim, or sightsee — we’ve got the right boat for it. And when you’re back on shore, grab one of our electric bikes to explore Washburn and the surrounding trails.

What You Need for Boats:
🚤 Boating Experience
You must have:
- Owned or currently own your own boat
- Advanced Routes: Custom float plans and Devils Island require strong, hands-on boating experience on big water.
- Newer Captains: If you’re confident but less seasoned, choose one of our pre-approved float plans to Madeline or Stockton Island for a stunning, lower-stress adventure.
You’ll be driving in a real marina and on the world’s largest lake. We reserve the right to cancel if safety is a concern.
📄 Boater Safety Certificate
Required if you were born on or after January 1, 1989. Any U.S. state’s certificate is valid.
🗣️ English Fluency
All renters must be able to speak and understand English. No translators allowed (insurance requirement).
